# Enable 2FA

## Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) *(optional)*

To increase your account's security, we recommend enabling two-factor authentication.

With this option, in addition to your password, you'll need to enter a temporary code generated by an authenticator app every time you log in from a new device.

Although it isn't mandatory, it's a highly recommended measure to protect access to your account and your stores' information.
